About

Kaye BohlerBAND

Four decades of blues, soul and big-band fire — still stepping out.

Kaye Bohler is a California blues and soul singer-songwriter whose career has spanned four decades of non-stop touring, interrupted only by the pandemic. With a vocal range of more than three octaves, she moves from operatic highs to deep soul growls with ease.

She thinks of herself as a student of mid-century modern American roots music, from big band swing to late-1970s funk — and she leads anything from a small trio to a 10-piece big band. Along the way she has shared stages with Boz Scaggs, Elvin Bishop, Robert Cray, Gatemouth Brown, Irma Thomas, Magic Slim, Pinetop Perkins and Rod Piazza, and played festivals from the Monterey Blues Festival to Blues by the Bay in Eureka, the Fountain Blues Festival in San Jose and the Gilroy Garlic Festival.

Her five albums and three singles feature guests such as Robben Ford, Tommy Castro and Pete Anderson. Right now she is promoting her Rat Pack to Rhythm & Blues show and celebrating her new album, Homegrown, arriving October 30, 2026.
